the dirty on college: what no one else will tell you (this ones for the ladies)

LADIES...my top tips if youre going away to college:

• bring quarters
• dont sleep with that cute guy.  youll totally regret it later & someone will probably post the video on youtube.
• dont fight with your roommate over some dude.  trust me, honey, it aint worth it.  
• that brings me to another point.  you can date in college, but dont date the crazy people.  you know what i mean...[insert crazy story here].  dont do it.  anyways, you got french class at 8am so why are you out so late anyway...?
• match dot com is a p.o.s. operation.  so is craigslist...unless youre there to buy an effing couch.  
• jdate, plentyoffish, backpage, ok cupid, christian mingle, eharmony...it can be fun but be cautious.  try to meet people irl like...twitter, facebook...the staples of social media.  reliable-like places!  LOL.  j/k.  hey if online is what works for you, more power to you.
• i swear to g*d, please just stop worrying about what everyone thinks.  no one wants to hang around a wannabe.  just do you, & you will be absolutely fine & people will love you.
• above all, be yourself & dont compromise your values & what you believe in.  
• focus on school & in the end, you will be the superstar.  i have learned that the nerdy girl always gets the hot husband.
• know when to walk away.

every woman has to draw her line in the sand.  make sure you go to college knowing who you are & what you stand for.  the friendships you make, some will last forever.  but remember that the best friend you have in this life is YOU so never lose sight of your most precious asset...yourself.  you cannot be replaced. dont do anything in college that will jeopardize your future. that being said, one last piece of advice...keep pics of you holding red sippy cups down to a minimum on facebook, hmm?  thanks.  sending love & light...moi.
